SECURITY TIPS TO RIVIERA-MAYA

Many people are interested in traveling safely to Mexico? How safe is Mexico City, Acapulco, Cancun, Maya Riviera, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Costa Maya?

Most of these tourist destinations are really safe, but you should always follow some safety tips when on vacation and in Mexico too, without exception.

Follow these tips for traveling to Mexico.

The local Maya people are among the most good-natured and hospitable people in the world. You can also meet with expatriates and visiting workers, who are also often attracted by Maya's decency and the wealth of their sense of humor.

Nevertheless, as in any other resort, do not leave money and valuables unattended in public places.

General safety tips to help you stay safe in the wonderful world of the Riviera Maya:

1. Do not underestimate the Caribbean weather. Information about the weather should be checked for the next 10 days, when you visit the resort (in these places there are hurricanes).

2. If you are going to visit a place on your own, away from your hotel, please consult the advice of people who know the territory you are planning to visit, especially the locals and Maya Explore.

3. The natural attractions of Tulum and Costa Maya should use biodegradable items. Do not use plain polyethylene, as it affects the ecosystem. Biodegradable items and creams are sold in many stores.

5. For each trip from the hotel (villa) make a detailed trip plan for including emergency actions.

BEACH SAFETY

Bathing in the Riviera Maya is safe, as there is the world's second largest coral barrier reef that protects the beach. However, reflux can be dangerous, but if you swim in accordance with the flag system you should not have any fears other than enjoying the beautiful crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.

• Green flag - the water is absolutely safe for swimming, within the limits of common sense.

• Yellow flag - water, a little rough, advise to swim with caution.

• Red flag - the water is very dangerous. Swim with extreme caution, and do not depart from the shore.

• Black flag - absolutely no swimming. Too dangerous.

Safety tips for fishing and boating in Riviera Maya

Tell someone where you are going and when you will return. Even if the weather is good in the morning it does not mean that it will remain so all day long. Check the weather forecast before you leave. If the clouds darken and begin to collect, then this is a sign to return.

Do not stand in the boat. Always wear a life jacket when you are going into a boat. Make sure there is enough space for each person in the boat.

Safety tips in the Caribbean:

1. Think about security: knowledge and planning reduce risk and increase pleasure.

2. Bring the necessary equipment. Your equipment should be in good condition and easily accessible.

3. Respect the weather and sea conditions. Go out on the boat only when it can be done in a safe manner.

4. Follow the rules of traffic on the sea. The rules concerning the right of way, speed and correct lighting must be observed.

5. Use life jackets or floating devices. On each board there must be certified life jackets or similar devices.

6. Make sure you are resting and sober. The alcohol content in the blood is allowed when driving in a boat - 0.08 (8 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood).

7. Remember that safety, environmental protection and well-being are a common thing.

8. Beware of coral reefs.

The mask should have the following characteristics: the lens should be made of tempered or safe glass. Belt is a flexible silicone material that will not rot or change color from the sun, should be adjustable and can lock in place. Nose pocket - to use for leveling the pressure inside the ear and the paranasal sinuses.
