EMIGRATION FROM UKRAINE

EMIGRATION FROM UKRAINE

Ukraine ranks fifth in the world in the number of immigrants, despite the fact that in Ukraine one of the world's best climate, convenient location, adequate level of service and very nedoroie accommodation.

The first four leaders: Mexico, India, Russia and China. According to statistics for the year 2015 on a constant residence abroad (not counting Crimea and parts of Donbas) is about 15% of the total population of Ukraine that the numerical equivalent of over 7 million Ukrainians.

At the same time Ukraine is also one of the most interesting countries for immigrants from other countries, mainly in Asia (including Russia, India, China and others) and Africa.

The first and main reason Ukrainians are leaving to a foreign country is employment. Unstable economic situation does not allow them to be realized at home, to have a regular job and income, providing a decent level of existence.

Another reason is family reunification and the desire to live in more civilized conditions. The previous three waves of emigration have left the country many of the indigenous residents, families were separated, and now many are committed to a long-awaited merger.

Migrants are not only workers. Four percent of all residents of Ukraine who emigrated from the country, have higher education. People of creative professions often do not have a job worthy of their talents that can be realized in terms of creativity. Professional potential scientists, programmers, doctors, unfortunately, are not in demand at home in full, so goes the creative and intellectual elite where her talent will be appreciated.

One of the priority countries for emigration of Ukrainians until recently was Russia, then Italy, Poland, USA and Canada. In the European Union and North America, higher wages, than in Russia, but shared past allows the Ukrainians to better integrate into Russian society than in the West. Plays an important role and mentality, and the language barrier.

Recently more and more popular destination for Ukrainian citizens who wish to emigrate here to stay, is the United States and Canada, and for those who wish temporarily to find work far from home (guest workers) are quite satisfied with Russia or neighboring countries of the EU.
