Albania (the Albanians themselves call their country Shqipëria, that is Skipperia), the full official form - the Republic of Albania (in the Albanian language Republika e Shqipërisë [ɾɛpublika ɛ ɛ ʃcipəɾiːs]) is a state in the western part of the Balkan Peninsula.
