In 2016-2017 88 Ukrainians have received refugee status, while 239 Ukrainians received the status of a person in need of complementary protection.

Representatives of state bodies of Ukraine responded to these facts. Saying that Poland took a large number of refugees from Ukraine.

Of course, it should be understood that taking refugees from Ukraine, the government of Poland confirms thus, that Ukraine does not respect human rights on the grounds of discrimination.

It is noted that according to official information, of Poland, during January-October 2017 the State Office for foreigners and repatriation appealed 625 citizens of Ukraine with a request to provide them with international protection. In 2016 such appeals was 1306 that indicates a decrease in this category almost doubled.

This suggests that the number of people who feared for their lives and health in Ukraine, is decreasing, or that they ceased to address for the help in competent bodies of Poland. 

There is also information that as of July 1, 2017 valid residence permit in Poland a little more than 128 000 citizens of Ukraine (of which only 79 persons had refugee status).

In the first half of 2017, citizens of Ukraine were issued 91 436 of work permits of different types. For comparison, in 2016, the Ukrainians received 10 3208 work permits, and in the first half of 2016 – 41 062 resolution, indicating the growth of this indicator in the current year by almost half.

We remind you that from now on for permission to work in Poland do not have to necessarily obtain a visa, it is enough to come to Poland as tourists and seek to provide a work permit.

At the same time, the consular establishments of Poland in Ukraine for the first nine months of 2017 decorated 988 231 visas (Schengen and national). Compared to the same period in 2016, the number of visas issued remained almost unchanged, however the number of issued national visas type D (employment, education, family reunification) in 2017 increased 1.5 times.
