GAS COOPERATIVE IN UKRAINE - REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Cooperative - a legal entity formed by individuals and/or legal persons, United voluntarily on a membership basis for doing business and other activities to meet their economic, social and other needs, on the principles of self-government, which has an independent balance, settlement and other accounts in banks, seal with its name.

The founders of the cooperative may be citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and persons without citizenship and legal entities of Ukraine and foreign countries who participate in the activities of cooperatives through their representatives.

A member of the cooperative may be a natural person who has reached 16 years of age and wish to participate in its activities.

In accordance with the tasks and nature of the activities of the cooperatives are divided into these types:

production, which are formed by combining individuals for joint production or other economic activities on the bases of their required work participation with a view to profit;

- to serve, which are formed by Association of individuals and/or entities to provide services primarily to members of the cooperative and other persons to implement their economic activity. Service cooperatives provide services to other persons in amounts that do not exceed 20 percent of the total turnover of the cooperative;

- consumer, which are formed by combining physical and/or legal entities to carry on trade, intermediates of agricultural products, raw materials, manufacturing of products and provision of other services to meet consumer needs of its members.

Therefore, during the creation of the cooperative, it is first important to determine its type, because the legislator argues that service and consumer cooperatives are non-profit organizations. But in order for the co-op actually those were considered, it must be included in the register of non-profit organizations. After that, the cooperative determines in what directions it will work (residential, garden, garage, purchasing, medical, gas, etc.)
