Passport of citizen of Ukraine

The Ukrainian passport is a document certifying the identity of the owner and confirm the citizenship of Ukraine (resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of 26.06.1992 No. 2503-XII "On approval of provisions on the Ukrainian passport, birth certificate and passport of citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad").

The procedure of registration and issuance of a passport of citizen of Ukraine is regulated by the order of MIA of Ukraine dated 13.04.2012 №320 "On approval of the Procedure for registration and issuance of a passport of citizen of Ukraine", registered in Ministry of justice of Ukraine 02.06.2012 No. 1089/21401.

The passport is valid for the conclusion of civil transactions, banking transactions, registration of powers of attorney to other persons to represent to a third party only on the territory of Ukraine, if otherwise is not stipulated by international treaties of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian passport is issued to each citizen of Ukraine territorial divisions of the State migration service of Ukraine after reaching 16 years of age.

Passport issuance will be charged state tax. (there are benefits)

To obtain a passport of citizen of Ukraine:

to apply to the territorial Department of the State migration service of Ukraine at the place of registration;
submit an application and list of documents;
personally to get a passport in the territorial division of the State migration service of Ukraine.

When the citizen 25 and 45 years old passport to new photos are pasted that correspond to his age. The passport, which is not pasted these pictures when the owner of a specified age, shall be deemed invalid.

Sticking to a new passport photo in achieving national 25 and 45 years of age is made within five days.

Issuance and exchange of passports is made within one month at the place of registration of the citizen.

To receive, exchange of documents and pasting new photos citizen submits documents and photos no later than a month after reaching the appropriate age or changes (changes) the surname, name or patronymic, the establishment of the discrepancies in the records, or the unsuitability of the passport to use.

Citizen should securely store your passport.

Failure to meet these requirements entails administrative liability under the articles of the Code of Ukraine on administrative violations (No. 8073-X 07.12.1984):

Article 197. Living without a passport

Accommodation of the citizens, obliged to have a passport, without a passport or with an invalid passport, residence registration -

entails a warning or a fine of between one and three tax-exempt minimum incomes of citizens. (Article 197, as amended in accordance with the Laws N 296/95-BP from 11.07.95, N 55/97-BP from 07.02.97, N 2342-III (2342-14) from 05.04.2001)

Article 198. Intentional damage of the passport or the loss of it by negligence, Willful damage of passport or negligent storage of passports, which caused his loss -

entails a warning or a fine of between one and three tax-exempt minimum incomes of citizens. (Article 198, as amended in accordance with the Laws N 296/95-BP from 11.07.95, N 55/97-BP from 07.02.97)

Article 199. Admission policies without a passport, the Approval of persons responsible for observance of the rules of the passport system, the residence of citizens without passports or with invalid passports or without registration, as well as the assumption by citizens living in occupied dwellings persons without passports, without registration -

entail a warning or the imposition of a fine from one to three tax-exempt minimum incomes of citizens. (Article 199, as amended in accordance with the Laws N 296/95-BP from 11.07.95, N 55/97-BP from 07.02.97, N 2342-III (2342-14) from 05.04.2001)

Article 200. Hiring without a passport Acceptance by officials of enterprises, institutions, organizations for work of citizens without passports or with an invalid passport,

entails imposition of penalty in amount from one to three tax-exempt minimum incomes of citizens. The same violation committed by an officer after the application to him during the year, measures of administrative punishment for such actions, - entails a fine ranging from ten to fourteen non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens. Article 201. Illegal confiscation of passports and taking them to pledge Unlawful seizure of officials of the passports of the citizens or the adoption of passports in the pledge

entails a warning or a fine of between one and three tax-exempt minimum incomes of citizens. (Article 201 as amended in accordance with the Laws N 296/95-BP from 11.07.95, N 55/97-BP from 07.02.97)
