The OSCE special monitoring mission opened in the center of Lugansk a permanent office

Special monitoring mission of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is frequently present on the territory of Luhansk oblast since March 2014.

In connection with the cessation of hostilities in Lugansk, it was decided to open a permanent OSCE office.

This office is located in the former Shopping Center and surrounding areas "Korona".

Representatives of the OSCE special monitoring mission to actively communicate with representatives of the Luhansk city Council on the quality of education, respect for human rights in the territory of Lugansk and surrounding villages.

The OSCE is committed to comprehensive approaches to security issues in the world, encompassing politico-military, economic-environmental and human aspects. It therefore monitors a wide range of factors related to security, including arms control, confidence-building measures and security, human rights, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counterterrorism and economic and environmental activities. The organization includes 57 member States. All States parties have equal status, and decisions are made by consensus politically.
