SUPPORT OF ENTREPRENEURS, UKRAINE WILL JOIN THE EU

The government took the decision to sign agreements with the European Union on Ukraine's participation in the EU programme "Competitiveness of the enterprises of small and medium enterprises (COSME) (2014 - 2020)".

COSME is a leading EU programme with a budget of 2.3 billion euros, aimed at creating favorable conditions for development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) implemented in the framework of the strategy "Europe 2020".

The accession of Ukraine to the Program will contribute to the development of Ukrainian business environment and analytical and Advisory services related to export-import activities of the enterprises, expansion of trade and economic relations, harmonization of Ukrainian legislation in the sphere of SMEs to the European standards, as well as creating conditions for promotion of entrepreneurship and formation of culture of business.

Provides for the participation of Ukraine in such components of the Program:

improving the access of SMEs to markets - is to obtain Advisory and analytical services related to supporting export-import activities of enterprises, their internationalization and expansion of trade and economic relations;

improved regulatory conditions for the functioning of SMEs - identify and eliminate unnecessary regulatory barriers on the EU internal market, the implementation of the small business Act for Europe (Small Business Act for Europe) in third countries, ensuring the activities of the network of Commissioners on SMEs (SME Envoys), and the participation of third countries in their work, the creation of sectoral working groups to exchange experiences among representatives of competent state authorities;

the culture of doing business will be implemented in the form of various educational programs (including with the involvement of the programme Erasmus for entrepreneurs"), holding sectoral workshops, seminars, exchange programmes, internships and more.
