Finally, the Solomensky District Court of Kyiv held a preparatory meeting on the criminal case against several persons accused of committing crimes under article 149 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (trafficking in persons).

On March 15, 2013, the judicial board of Solomensky District Court of Kiev, before the meeting, stated that even today they do not intend to hold a preparatory meeting. The reasons for this behavior, they did not explain.

However, the judge stated that today the issue of extending the measure of restraint of the accused and the merging of criminal proceedings into one production will be considered.

When discussing the issue of the possibility of combining the main case with an additional case sent to the court for one episode, attorney Evsyutin A. expressed his opinion on the unlawfulness of such an action, explaining that it is possible to unify the cases only if the indictments are adopted by the court and the cases will be appointed for judicial consideration.

After a secret meeting, the panel of judges agreed with the position of the defense and postponed consideration of the issue of merging cases.

Instead, the court began a preparatory meeting and a summary of which was the appointment of a criminal case to judicial review.
