Today it became known about the large-scale operation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the military prosecutor's office to detain several former high-ranking officials of the former tax administration and the tax inspection of the Ministry of Revenue and Dues of Ukraine.

This was commented by Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov and Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios.

It was published that during the detention of the former head of the tax administration in Lugansk region, they found and seized 3.8 million dollars, but did not disclose what relation the withdrawn money had to crimes charged with Klimenko.

They reported that the former head of Mindohodov was detained in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the regional leaders of Lugansk region, the former head of the tax administration of the Crimea, a few tax inspectorates heads of districts of Kiev, deputy Poltava Tax Administration, Deputy Head of the Ministry of income and fees in the Kharkiv region, some former head of the tax inspectorate of Poltava, a former head of the State tax administration of control in the Kharkiv region, the former chairman of the state Second Tax Administration in Kharkiv region, activities are also conducted in Odessa.

It is not clear why the military prosecutor's office headed by Anatoly Matios is engaged in this case. Perhaps because some detainees are from the region where the ATU is currently underway. However, this is a weak version of the need for the military prosecutor's office to participate in this operation.

Of course, all investigative actions are carried out against former employees of tax departments, which objectively gives grounds for suspicion of political motives for criminal prosecution.
